Enrico Ricchiardi

  

Enrico Ricchiardi works on Informatics. He lives in   Torino, a town situated in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. Since 1990 he has been studying world Trichiinae and Valginae. His goal is to revise  both groups. To date, he has studied about 70% of the traceable types  and checked all the major institutional collections, and determined all the  undetermined specimens from both private and public collections. Several new genera  and many new species have been recognized, and their descriptions are ongoing. He has also begun study of the phylogenetic relationships within the tribes and genera of the major biogeographical regions and also the realtionships between regional faunas.
